Bahia Vik José Ignacio, the latest addition to the premier collection of properties in Uruguay, spans ten acres of beach dunes on the peninsula in José Ignacio. Bahia Vik reflects contemporary beach living, with seamless flow between indoors and outdoors inspired by art and Vik luxury.
It consists of fifteen uniquely designed bungalows tucked into the sandy beach dunes, with one central building around which retreat living revolves.
Artist involvement is an important focus at Bahia, where a wide range of contemporary Uruguayan and international artists collaborated with Alex and Carrie Vik and Marcelo Daglio to create site-specific installations for many spaces. In addition, a variety of other art was added.
Bahia Vik offers four immense pools, a spacious game room, and a boutique offering VIK wine and Vik curated items including Uruguayan art and local crafts. Guests can also enjoy a breadth of activities including canoeing, cooking classes, kite surfing, yoga, and more.
Also, Bahia Vik is home to The Shack Yoga and Wellness where guests can enjoy spa treatments as well as yoga and pilates lessons.
LOCATION
Located in the chic and safe beach village of José Ignacio, spans ten acres of beach dunes facing the Southern Atlantic Ocean, still minutes away from restaurants, art galleries, shops, vineyards, golf courses and more.
HOW TO GET THERE
> via Punta del Este airport (PDP), which is serviceable by daily flights from airports in Argentina and Brazil. It accommodates private jets 24 hours a day and is forty-five minutes drive.
> via Montevideo airport (MVD) one and a half hours away.

MAIN BUILDING SUITES
The main building boasts ten large unique suites, all with private terraces and most with broad sweeping views of the dunes, beach and ocean.
OUR BUNGALOWS
Two bedroom bungalows can accommodate up to 4 guests. Two suites at the edges of the bungalows and a central living room, with a dining + a living area. Separate entrance doors for each area and front decks overlooking the ocean.
The suites at the two bedroom bungalows can be booked individually: as a suite or as a Master Suite (adding the living space).
We also have three bedroom bungalows which can accommodate up to 6 guests, four bedroom bungalows for up to 8 guests, five bedroom bungalows for up to 10 guests. Rooms at these bungalows can be booked individually. There is no need to book the entire bungalow.
And, extra beds can be added in all rooms.

Guests are encouraged to dine in the privacy of their own bungalow, on the expansive outdoor terrace by one of the pools or in the open-air patio. Bahia’s dining room and La Susana, the beachfront restaurant located next door, are great choices.
The culinary experience in José Ignacio is one not to be missed.
